Huron music Association
The Huron Music Association (HMA) is the 501c3 nonprofit parent booster organization supporting all facets of the music department. When your student enrolls in any music class at Huron, you automatically become a member of the HMA. Participation, however, is voluntary. One of the best ways to find out about what’s currently happening in the music programs, and to get involved as a volunteer, at Huron is to attend the meeting on the second Wednesday of every month from 7-8 p.m. in the band room (7124).
Money raised for the organization is used to bring in professional musicians, composers and conductors to work with our students, pay for various mailings home (handbooks, directories, newsletters, etc.), and cover the costs of all concert receptions, awards night and any special director requests.
If you are interested in taking a more proactive role in supporting your child’s music education, please contact our HMA president, Sandy Aldrich at [email protected] for more information.
